Dave has been a missionary with Macedonia World Baptist Missions since 1982. He founded  Baptist World Cult Evangelism – BWCE) in 1994 to evangelize the un-reached with the true Jesus of the Bible, the Eternal Son of God. Dave says:

“In the 40 years of speaking with Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses, I have never found one who believed John 1:3 (All things were made by him [Jesus Christ]; and without him was not any thing made that was made.) All things would include matter and Michael the Archangel. One cannot believe in a false god or a false Jesus and have true salvation.”  Jesus said, ‘I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins (John 8:24).'”

CheckmateCHECKMATE for MORMONS and JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES

Checkmate means it’s over — you are lost, without any hope of salvation. The goal of CHECKMATE … is for your opponents (the people to whom you are witnessing) to see the conflict between what they have been taught and the truth of God’s Word. By asking questions in the beginning of your conversation, two rules are agreed upon: The context rule and the harmony rule.

With these rules, there is no way out — no “wiggle room.” Without these rules anything goes. The rules are what keep the Scripture, in its context, the authority rather than what the person has been taught by their cult leaders.

I had two opportunities this week to see the power of God’s Word in action in the life of a Jehovah’s Witness man named Leon and three Mormon missionary girls. The Jehovah’s Witness man had a panic attack and the three Mormon girls left with the look of death on their faces.

I have been waiting for a long time to see the Lord work in such a marvelous way to help these lost souls see their need of salvation. If a person doesn’t really know that they are lost, they are not really moved to do anything. The Lord Himself gave us the best examples of checkmates.

When the Lord’s conversation with Nicodemus was over, he knew that he was lost (not going to see or enter the kingdom of God.) That was a checkmate! The woman at the well, after one conversation with Jesus, knew she was lost. That was a checkmate! The rich young ruler left in sorrow knowing he was lost. Jesus did that in one conversation. That was a checkmate!

Checkmate was the goal. Jesus gave us the best example. Let’s us it in the battle for souls! I pray that CHECKMATE … will help us all to see God’s Word convict Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses that they are lost.
